How does
EPINOIA work?
Epinoia captures contextual knowledge through intelligent conversations and delivers it exactly where it’s needed. No wikis. No interview marathons. Just a living knowledge system that grows with every session.
Does this sound familiar?
Key people are about to leave your company and you want to preserve their knowledge before it walks out the door?
Certain individuals hold siloed knowledge and you want to make it accessible to the rest of the team?
You have ongoing projects and you want to collectively capture progress, decisions and contextual knowledge?
The first step
It starts with a single question: What knowledge can’t afford to be lost?
You decide what’s business-critical, who holds it, and what matters first. Whether you begin with one expert or an entire team, Epinoia adapts to your pace.
Prioritised by urgency · Role and topic-based · Flexibly scalable
Get interviewed
EPINOIA asks questions that target valuable context. Not generic, rigid questionnaires, but real conversations between equals that deepen across multiple sessions.
Experts respond at any time, at their own pace, on any device, in their preferred language.
- Built on insights from psychology, communication and cognitive science
- Adapts to each expert's communication preferences
- Coherence across multiple conversations
The knowledge base grows
Answers are automatically structured and connected: who knows what, why, based on which decisions, linked to which documents. The knowledge system grows with every session.
- Automatic structuring and linking
- Knowledge gaps can be filled over time
- Integrates and references existing documents
Knowledge becomes usable
The team accesses knowledge like a conversation with colleagues: Who could I ask about topic X? What was decided in project Y? What are the key steps for task Z? And if nothing has been recorded, EPINOIA says so clearly and transparently.
- Natural language, like a conversation – everyone can talk to EPINOIA in their own language
- Hallucination-free by design
- Knowledge available where it's needed: 24/7, always the right contact
Not another wiki.
EPINOIA doesn't replace documentation. We capture knowledge that would otherwise never be documented at all.
Wikis & file storage
Documentation goes stale faster than it can be maintained. This uncertainty means files stop being used, even though they may contain valuable knowledge. Over time, the knowledge archive loses its credibility.
Personal handovers
Handovers between predecessor and successor often happen under time pressure, and still include getting to know each other, small talk and the question of where to find the best coffee. Humanly important, but not very effective for systematic knowledge preservation.
Mentoring systems
Mentoring systems often come with rigid frameworks: fixed question lists, pre-structured documents. Experts rarely enjoy working through a list of ill-fitting questions, only for the results to end up in a file store and stay there.
Facilitated handovers
Facilitated handovers depend heavily on whether the facilitator is on a technical par with the participants and can ask the right questions. The more specialised the knowledge, the less likely that is, and the weaker the outcome.
